Winter Wonderland of Adventures

As the weather turns colder in the North, some are thinking of ski slopes and snowboarding, while others are heading south for a little sunshine! No matter which group you fall into, winter traveling offers a variety of challenges. Planning ahead saves headaches for all. If you are flying out to a warm weather destination or cruise, remember, the weather doesn't always know you are on vacation! Allowing an extra day to get to where you are going may mean the difference in catching a cruise departure or having to fly to the first port of call! Weather delays are just that...weather...and no one at the airport can change it, so take a deep breath and roll with it. A check with our agents have them traveling a bit this Christmas season. Mandy Carter and family spent some time at Epcot and other parts of Disney World. Keith and Lisa Wright just returned from two weeks in sunny Hawaii, while Stephanie Davis and family visited California and both Disneyland and California Adventure. Relinda Broom and her husband took their sailboat out for a beautiful Christmas in their one particular harbor (I'll see if she will share her photo if this on our site!) Some of us stayed home (Mel, Joanne, Ashley, Jessica, Glade and Mary and I). Wherever your heart took you this season, I hope it was a wonderful Christmas time for you and yours.

Something to look forward too...Melodie and family are heading out for a Disney cruise next week! Watch for photos and a report~
It seems like we blink and time moves so fast! We have added new agents, welcoming Kari Williams, Heather Mitchell, Joanne Terry and Brittany Capo (soon to be McIntosh in July!). Agent training is coming in September and in the meantime, summer vacations are coming up fast, so...

Things to think about when choosing family vacations.  There are many options.  One of our agency owners just returned from a family vacation with her husband, adult daughter and son-in-law and two grand children.  This year, as well as last, they did Disney World, but stayed off-site in a local vacation home.  Four bedrooms and three baths and a pool made it very easy with children, and just 10 minutes from Disney made it simple and easy and economical.  Our agents have access to a variety of home rentals in locations all over the world, so if you are interested in this option, please let them know.

All inclusive properties have been offering great promotions to a variety of destinations.  These resorts take a page from cruise lines and include meals and resort activities including water sports and for family properties, children's activities.  It's a great way to budget and pre-pay for your vacation!

Cruising is still very popular and there are lots of options.  It's a great way to celebrate life events with the entire family...grandma and grandpa, mom and dad, grandkids and family friends...everyone has their own room, and there is something for all age groups.  Best of all, no one has to cook meals so everyone can enjoy and there are convenient payment plans that allow families to book more than a year in advance and budget that vacation!
